Decentralized Governance
Community decides. Vote for the future.
At YNpredict, every major decision is put to a vote by $YN holders. From new market listings to protocol parameter changes, governance directly shapes the platform.
UMA Dispute Resolution
YNpredict uses UMA’s optimistic oracle model to balance speed and security in market resolution.
Optimistic Path (most cases)
The proposer submits a result and posts a bond
A challenge window gives the community time to dispute and correct
If nobody challenges, the result is accepted automatically
Advantage: Fast and low cost, ideal for clear outcomes
Dispute Path (security backstop)
A challenger disputes the result with a matching bond
UMA DVM starts the dispute resolution process
Validators vote on the correct outcome
The losing side forfeits its bond
Security: Truth is established by collective consensus while malicious behavior is penalized
Core idea: If the outcome is obvious, settlement can happen quickly. If the result is questionable, anyone can challenge and escalate it to stronger arbitration.
Example Proposal
[YIP-042] Should we list a 2028 U.S. presidential election market?
Summary
This proposal asks the community whether YNpredict should launch a market on the 2028 U.S. presidential election. The opportunity is large, but so are the compliance and dispute risks.
Revenue Potential
The market is expected to increase trading activity and contribute meaningfully to protocol revenue and user engagement.
Risk Disclosure
- Regulatory risk: political markets may face additional scrutiny
- Dispute risk: election outcomes may involve prolonged legal challenges

Community Comments
High-impact markets come with high risk, but they are worth evaluating when the operating boundaries are clear.
The platform should manage regulatory exposure carefully. I would prefer clearer rules before listing this market.
If governance approves it, we are prepared to support the market with liquidity.
